This research aims to inquire into the different primary education teachers perceptions regarding the game as a teaching strategy and its use inside the classrooms, recognizing and analyzing their concepts, identifying the utilization of playing strategies and characterizing the congruence between the practical action and the teaching speech. The motivation behind the research about this topic comes from realizing that there are many types of bibliographies regarding the game as a playful, motivating element, contributing to lifelong learning and that, therefore, should be incorporated in the classroom. However, none of the investigations consider perceptions and experiences that teachers have about this matter, and its use in the process of teaching and learning. Thus, this research is based on an interpretive paradigm under a qualitative and exploratory character. Semi-structured interviews were originated to gather the necessary information, which were validated and applied to a sample of 5 primary education teachers in the Valparaíso`s region. The data were analyzed under a categorization through the Atlas Ti program, which contributed to a better analysis of the information extracted from the interviews
