<p>En la actualidad, muchos niños, niñas y adolescentes se encuentran en condiciones de vulnerabilidad al vivir en contextos institucionalizados, siendo necesario que el Estado asegure sus derechos e integridad a través de la protección que brinda el Servicio Nacional de Menores (SENAME). Este organismo se encarga de reasignar a los niños, niñas y adolescentes en residencias pertenecientes o colaboradoras al mismo, de modo de entregar el cuidado, protección y herramientas para el desarrollo óptimo e integral de éstos y su inclusión en la sociedad. Es a través del desarrollo de la Conducta Adaptativa que los niños, niñas y adolescentes, en general, logran adquirir conocimientos, destrezas y habilidades fundamentales para consolidar y formar nuevos conocimientos, tanto teóricos como prácticos, llevándolos a cabo a través de relaciones interpersonales con agentes internos y externos a las residencias, posibilitando así su participación en la comunidad y sociedad. De este modo, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la incidencia del contexto de vulnerabilidad social en el desarrollo de la conducta adaptativa de niños, niñas y adolescentes institucionalizados.</p><p>Esta investigación está basada en un diseño metodológico de carácter cualitativo, en el que se realizaron entrevistas a informantes, tales como los Profesionales, Educadoras de Trato Directo y Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes que pertenecen a residencias colaboradoras o pertenecientes al SENAME. La información obtenida fue organizada bajo un análisis descriptivo e inferencial, creando factores y subfactores de información, los que fueron utilizados posteriormente para desarrollar y establecer las conclusiones pertinentes.</p><p>Dentro de las principales conclusiones, es posible destacar que tanto el contexto familiar como el residencial del que provienen los niños, niñas y adolescentes como el residencial, influye en el desarrollo de las conductas adaptativas de los mismos, siendo el contexto familiar y la vinculación con ésta uno de los aspectos más relevantes para su desarrollo integral. A su vez, se destaca que en las residencias colaboradoras o pertenecientes al SENAME, no se entregan capacitaciones que formen a las Educadoras de trato directo en el ámbito de Conducta adaptativa, por lo que el desarrollo de habilidades en los niños, niñas y adolescentes se realiza desde la intuición y experiencias previas de las Educadoras</p>
<p>Nowadays, many children and adolescents have a vulnerability condition living in vulnerable contexts, being the State the one in charge to guarantee their rights and integrity through the protection provided by the National Service for Minors (SENAME). This agency is in charge of reassigning the children and adolescents in belonging or collaborating residences to deliver the care, protection and tools for their optimal and integral development and their inclusion in society. It is through the development of Adaptive Behavior that children and adolescents reach to acquire fundamental knowledge, dexterities and abilities to consolidate and form new knowledge, both theoretical and practical, leading them out through relationships with internal and external agents to residential homes, enabling their participation in community and society. In this way, this research aims to analyze the impact of the context of social vulnerability during the development of Adaptive Behavior of institutionalized children and adolescents.</p><p>This research is based on a qualitative methodological design, in which interviews were conducted with key informants such as professionals and educators who have direct contact with the children and adolescents and that belong to the collaborative residences or the ones that belong to the SENAME. The information obtained was organized under a descriptive and inferential analysis, creating information factors and sub-factors which were subsequently used to develop and establish appropriate conclusions.</p><p>Among the main conclusions, it is possible to emphasize that the context from which the children and adolescents come from, as residential homes, influences the development of Adaptive Behaviors, being the family context and the linkage to this one, one of the most relevant aspects for their integral development. At the same time, is important to stand that SENAME’s collaborating or belonging residences do not provide with training for instructing the teachers who have a direct treatment in the field of Adaptive Behavior, being the development of children and adolescents abilities made only from Educators intuition and previous experiences</p>
