| |
Resumen | dc.description |
The current investigation examines how the cultural public politics reflect the meanings that the neighborhood communities give to their cultural management practices. In order to start investigating this concept, we propose the case study methodology, focused on the Taller de Acción Comunitaria (TAC) developed on Cordillera Hill, in Valparaiso. Through in-depth interviews, we identified this community’s cultural management practices and the meanings given to those practices. Then, we compared them with the thematic axes found inside the document “Política Cultural Regional 2011-2016 Valparaíso”. The findings indicate that cultural public politics reflect the meanings that refer to self-management, actors of the social change, collective work and voluntary work, meanwhile other meanings are not reflected, such as mutual learning, multiple realities, sense of belonging and horizontality
| |
