<p>Las investigaciones relacionadas con la mejora escolar plantean la existencia de diversas palancas claves que debe tener la escuela para lograr un cambio. Este estudio se centra en una de ellas, el apoyo externo, y tiene como objetivo comprender la relación entre este último y la mejora escolar desde la perspectiva de directores de dos escuelas que presentan diferentes estilos de agenciamiento colectivo.La producción de información de esta investigación se realizó mediante entrevistas semi-estructuradas a las que se les realizó un análisis de contenido con teoría fundamentada. Los resultados de esta investigación indican que, el director de la escuela con agenciamiento estilo árbol, ejercía un liderazgo autoritario, siendo el resto de los actores educativos considerados co-partícipes, y la relación que establecía con el apoyo externo principalmente era respecto a los recursos materiales. Por otra parte, la directora de la escuela con agenciamiento estilo tejido social, manifestó un liderazgo democrático, donde se buscaba la participación del resto de la comunidad educativa, reconociendo claramente las necesidades propias de la escuela para alcanzar una mejora escolar.Se concluye que para alcanzar una mejora escolar sostenida en el tiempo, es necesario por una parte, contar con apoyos externos contextualizados que respondan a las necesidades de cada escuela, y por otra, de un agenciamiento estilo tejido social que permita reconocer de mejor forma las necesidades de la escuela</p>
<p>Studies related to school improvement suggest the existence of several key levers that the school must have in order to change. This study is focused on one of them, the external support, and its purpose is to understand the relation between external support and school improvement from the perspective of principals who work in two schools and show different styles of collective agency. The production of information of this study was carried out through semi-structured interviews, which were analyzed in its content using grounded theory.The outcomes of this study show that the principal of the school with a tree-style agency exercised an authoritarian leadership, and the rest of the educational actors were considered collaborators. The established relation with external support was related to material resources mainly. On the other hand, the principal of the school with social-fabric agencyshowed a democratic leadership. The participation of the whole school community was involved, clearly identifying the needs of the school in order to get school improvement.In conclusion, in order to reach school improvement sustained over time, two things are necessary; first, schools must count on contextualized external support that meet the requirements of every school, and second, schools must have a social-fabric agency that allows for a better identification of the needs of the school</p>
