The relationship between reality and mathematical knowledge suggests, from an educational perspective, studies that present ways on how togenerate other meanings of mathematical knowledge, without ignoringthe multiple frameworks that have been formulated and used in thisregard. In that sense, from a qualitative approach, an experimentationin the formation of the Mathematics teacher in Chile is constructed. Tothis end, a conceptual framework of mathematical modeling is proposed, which consists of: theoretical constructs regarding the conception ofmathematical modelling, modelling cycle from an individualizedapproach to knowledge, modelling competencies and modelling levels. With this, a course is proposed that studies the teaching ofmathematical modelling directed to the initial formation of the professorof mathematics; Composed of 15 sessions, which emerge from theconceptual framework enunciated and planned from validatedtheoretical experiences -as is the theoretical framework of Borromeo-Ferri for the teaching of modelling-. Through a methodological analysiswith the MTSK model, results are highlighted for the reflectivedevelopment of the students in the course of the experience, towardsthe knowledge they have as students and as future teachers, evidencedfrom the understanding of knowledge in all subdomains of the DomainMK and the subdomain KMT. One of the results reflects the questioningof the separation of reality and mathematics, which effectively assumesthe conceptual framework used. This motivates from the data and thereflection, the task of making explicit a modeling that is distinguishedfrom the traditional vision that coined the curriculum; For this, a basaldifference is presented with respect to the unit that defines themathematical modeling, which is called a theoretical variety ofmathematical modeling, which is initiated with the questioning of theaforementioned separation. With the Socioepistemological Theory anapproximation to this variety is presented: recognizing the principle thatdistinguishes itself from the unit that has repercussions in thetransformation of the modeling conception and the way of articulatingthe knowledge that is put in play, to generate theoretical instrumentsthat propitiate the mathematical knowledge resignification from theuses. After clarifying the distinctions between the two positions, acategory of modeling is proposed from the socioepistemological programto analyze the use of the mathematical knowledge of a community ofarchitects and to establish the relations of the knowledge that come intoplay with that category
