| Resumen | dc.description | <p>Las cifras de sobrepeso y obesidad en la primera infancia y adolescencia son alarmantes a nivel mundial. La realidad chilena no es ajena a esta problemática por lo que se hace necesario replantear las estrategias para comprender y resolver esta problemática. Analizar y comprender el ambiente en el cual se desarrolla el niño es fundamental para levantar información respecto a posibles factores que puedan fomentar un ambiente obesogénico. Desde este punto de vista el rol de padres, madres o tutores es fundamental como principales actores en la alimentación de los niños. Es aquí donde nuestra investigación se plantea como objetivo determinar las creencias, actitudes de los padres y/o tutores de niños de primero a cuarto básico de dos colegios municipales de la comuna de Quillota. Para esto se implementaron mediciones de IMC en 84 niños y niñas de primero a cuarto básico y la aplicación del cuestionario de actitudes, creencias y prácticas hacia la alimentación -CFQ- a 84 padres, madres y-o tutores. Los resultados más significativos hacen referencia a percepción errónea de los padres hacia el verdadero estado nutricional de sus hijos con sobrepeso u obesidad y la incongruencia de las actitudes de estos frente a las prácticas alimentarias que ejercen sobre los niños</p> | |
| Resumen | dc.description | <p>The percentages in overweight and obesity in early childhood and adolescence are worldwide alarming. The Chilean reality is not unconnected or external to this problem. Therefore, it is necessary to rethink the strategies in order to understand and solve this problem. The analysis and the understandment of the environment in which the child develops is fundamental to gather the information regarding possible factors that may promote an obesogenic environment. From this point of view, the role of parents, mothers or guardians is crucial as the main actors in the feeding of children. It is here where the research aims to determine the beliefs, attitudes of parents and/or guardians of children from first to fourth grade of two public schools of the commune of Quillota. For this, BMI measurements were implemented in 84 children from first to fourth grade and the application of the questionnaire of attitudes, beliefs and practices towards feeding -CFQ- to 84 parents, mothers and-or tutors. The most significant results refer to the parents` misperception of the true nutritional status of their overweight or obese children and the incongruence of their attitudes towards the feeding practices they perform on children</p> | |
