La domesticación como estrategia de traducción en textos audiovisuales: subtítulos en español de Chile en el tráiler de ¿Por qué él?

Resumen	dc.description	<p>Históricamente, en la subtitulación de películas al español ha habido una tendencia a la estandarización del nivel de lengua, es decir, a no incluir variantes dialectales ni sociolectales y a optar por un registro neutro. Sin embargo, a fines de 2016 se liberó el tráiler oficial de la primera película que se exhibió en Chile con subtítulos en español chileno, Why him? -¿Por qué él?-. Para crear estos subtítulos, los productores realizaron una domesticación en la que se tomaron en consideración diversas expresiones y palabras propias del dialecto chileno. La respuesta de la audiencia fue mixta; hubo tanto comentarios positivos como negativos respecto del español empleado en los subtítulos. Se describirán las estrategias que se utilizaron en este proceso y se analizarán las elecciones de traducción tomando en cuenta el fenómeno de variación lingüística del español, la utilización de la estrategia de domesticación en el proceso de traducción del texto y cómo se comparan con la versión del tráiler para Latinoamérica. Tras lo mencionado anteriormente se podrá determinar que, en la mayoría del texto, esta propuesta en materia de subtítulos fue acertada y que las estrategias empleadas para realizar la domesticación de este texto fueron pertinentes y adecuadas</p>
Resumen	dc.description	<p>Historically, there has been a tendency towards a standardization of the language used in the subtitles for movies in Spanish, that is, to not include dialectal nor sociolectal variants and aim for a neutral register. However, towards the end of 2016, the official trailer for "Why him?", the first movie to be showed in Chile with subtitles in Chilean Spanish, was released. To create these subtitles, the producers carried out a domestication in which they took into consideration several expressions and words that are typical of the Chilean dialect and these were included in the subtitles for the trailer. The response of the audience was mixed; there were positive and negative comments regarding the Spanish used in the subtitles. The strategies used in this process will be described and the translation choices will be analyzed regarding the phenomenon of linguistic variation in the Spanish language and the use of the domestication strategy in the translation process of the text and how these can be compared with the version of the trailer in Spanish for Latin America. Taking into account the aforementioned statements, this research determines that, for the majority of the text, this proposal in terms of subtitles was accurate, and the strategies used to domesticate this text were appropriate and suitable</p>
