| Resumen | dc.description | <p>En el presente estudio se analizó un discurso emitido el 27 de junio de 2011 por el luchador profesional Phillip Brooks, con el propósito de observar el grado de fidelidad que la interpretación en español posee con respecto al discurso original en inglés.</p><p>Para esta investigación, se trabajó desde un enfoque cualitativo, expresado en el análisis contrastivo de segmentos del discurso en la lengua origen y en la lengua meta. Si bien los resultados finales obtenidos demuestran niveles de fidelidad aceptables, estos distan de ser óptimos puesto que se detectaron algunos problemas en el análisis, tales como la traducción literal de segmentos y falta generalizada de reformulación; además, se observaron adiciones y omisiones que afectan negativamente la fidelidad, los cuales confirman la importancia de la intervención de un intérprete profesional, quien posee las herramientas para enfrentar estos problemas</p> | |
| Resumen | dc.description | <p>This study analysed a speech made in June 27th, 2011 by pro-wrestler Phillip Brooks. The aim was to assess the faithfulness levels of the Spanish piece of interpreting, as compared to the original speech.</p><p>In this research, based on the qualitative research approach, a contrastive analysis on segments from the speech was conducted in both, the source and target speeches. The final results show that, albeit acceptable, the faithfulness levels are distant to ideal standards due to the presence of certain problems, such as literal translation of segments and a general absence of re-expression in the target language. Likewise, additions and omissions affecting the overall faithfulness level were also found, reassuring the importance of having a trained interpreter, who has the expertise to cope with these issues</p> | |
