Resumen	dc.description	<p>Este proyecto de título es una traducción comentada de un segmento del primer capítulo del libro de ingeniería biomédica “Medical Devices: use and safety” de los autores Bertil Jacobson y Alan Murray. Es un texto especializado que será utilizado como material de estudio por estudiantes de primer año de la carrera de Ingeniería Civil Biomédica de la Universidad de Valparaíso.</p><p>Además de realizar la traducción, se llevó a cabo un análisis de las características principales del texto fuente y del proceso de traducción.</p><p>El enfoque principal de este trabajo fue el análisis y clasificación de problemas de traducción presentes en el texto y las técnicas que se utilizaron para su resolución</p>
Resumen	dc.description	<p>This project consists of a translation with commentary of a section of the first chapter of the biomedical engineering book “Medical Devices: use and safety” written by Bertil Jacobson and Alan Murray. It is a specialized text that will be used as study material by first year students of the Universidad de Valparaíso’s Biomedical Engineering program.</p><p>Apart from the translation of the document, the main characteristics of the source text and of the translation process were analyzed.</p><p>The analysis and classification of the translation problems, and the translation techniques used to solve these problems were the main focus of this project</p>
