<p style="""""text-align:"""">La presente investigación corresponde a un estudio de casos múltiples de enfoque cualitativo que indagó la relación entre las formas de administrar conflicto y los estilos de convivencia escolar en dos liceos municipalizados chilenos. El supuesto que guía el estudio es que el tipo de administración del conflicto que la escuela implementa, influirá en la forma y características de la convivencia escolar. Se distinguen dos formas de administrar el conflicto: la tecnocrática positivista y la crítica. La primera, comprende el conflicto como algo negativo que debe ser regulado y controlado. La segunda, lo comprende como algo positivo y constitutivo de toda relación social. Se distinguen tres estilos de convivencia escolar: funcional autoritaria; funcional democrática y democrática sociocrítica. La producción de información se llevó a cabo mediante entrevistas individuales y grupales realizadas a los distintos actores escolares y observaciones participantes. El análisis de la información correspondió al análisis de contenido. En los resultados se evidencia para ambos liceos, una administración tecnocrática positivista, caracterizada por un alto control de los comportamientos de estudiantes y profesores, alta normatividad con acentos en aspectos punitivos y estrategias de eliminación e invisibilización de los problemas que se presentan en el liceo. Estas formas de administrar el conflicto dan origen a formas de convivencia escolar que se moviliza entre una posición funcional autoritaria y una funcional democrática. Las discusiones avanzan hacia la validación del autoritarismo y la naturalización de procedimientos punitivos que impiden espacios de reflexión y crítica, dando cuenta de los límites que el establecimiento impone para construir comunidad</p>

The postulation that guides the study is that the type of management of conflict that the school implements, will influence the shape and characteristics of the school conviviality. Two different ways of manage the conflict are distinguished: positivist technocratic and criticism. The first one understands the conflict as something negative that must be regulated and controlled. The second one, understands it as something positive and constitutive of every social relationship. Three styles of school conviviality are distinguished: functional authority, functional democratic and democratic sociocritical. The production of information was conducted through individual and group interviews made to the different school actors and participant observations. The analysis of information corresponded to content analysis. The results evidence, for both schools, a positivist technocratic management, characterized in a high control of the behavior of students and teachers, high normativity with accents in punitive aspects, elimination strategies and invisibility of the problems encountered in the school. These ways of managing the conflict, originate ways of school conviviality that is mobilized between a functional authoritarian position and functional democratic. The discussions advance towards validation of authoritarianism and naturalization of punitive procedures that impedes spaces of reflection and critique, realizing the limits imposed by the establishment to build community</p>
