| |
Resumen | dc.description |
Usability is presented as an insufficient term to measure all the sensations of users playing video games, based on that this experience is much broader than that of a traditional interactive system because a game has a playful character which has as main objective to have fun, entertain and experience the best emotions when playing. Given this approach, is born the term playability, defining new properties that determine and measure the player`s experience, indicating to what extent the game is playable. Currently, video games are highly used by companies, however, there is little knowledge of the term playability and, there is no clear measurement tool to determine how impacts the player`s interaction with these systems. This project has as objective to bring closer the concept of playability to the readers, specifically those interested in developing or evaluating video games; and creating heuristics to help them measure the playability. Note that these heuristics are specific to the platform genre, as the focus on a particular type avoids creating general heuristics and allows to encompass largely the characteristic elements of a specific type of game. The confectioned heuristics are presented with a brief description, examples of violation and enforcement, benefits and implementation problems, and also a checklist; it functions as a guide when applying and evaluating the proposal with the different study cases that are used
| |
