<p>Durante esta última década el gran aumento de la información en la web, ha llevado a que se desarrollen nuevas áreas de investigación, cuyo fin es obtener beneficios que antes no podían ser visualizados. Es por lo mismo que nace Web Mining, principalmente para poder darle uso a esta gran cantidad de datos y a partir del análisis de éstos, obtener patrones potencialmente útiles y el análisis de información implícita por medio de técnicas de Data Mining.</p><p>Para este proyecto en particular se dispone de una aplicación web llamada Emol.com, es en esta plataforma donde se busca usar Web Usage Mining para poder encontrar patrones de navegación en los usuarios que usan este sistema y a través de dichos patrones llegar a información útil para los administradores del sistema.</p><p>El poder crear un proyecto de este tipo es de gran utilidad para poder tomar decisiones a futuro. Es por lo mismo que crear un repositorio de datos como Data Warehouse es de gran utilidad. Este Data Warehouse cumplirá un rol bastante importante ya que mantendrá la información extraída desde los weblogs y así a partir de ésta generar los vectores característicos que pueden ser utilizados en una diversidad de algoritmos de Web Mining.</p><p>Otro punto muy importante es escoger los algoritmos que se utilizarán, para así obtener patrones de navegación de las sesiones de los usuarios, lo que posiblemente ayude a hacer mejoras en la navegabilidad de los clientes.</p><p>Se mostrarán los resultados de la carga en la Data Warehouse, también las consultas que se realizarán en éste, junto con los resultados obtenidos.</p><p>Finalmente se verificarán y validarán los resultados obtenidos con el personal encargado de la manipulación de los datos, para así poder corroborar que la información entregada es realmente útil</p>
<p>During the last decade the huge increase of information on the web has led to the development of new research areas, and this to improve or get benefits that were not displayed before. That is why Web Mining arises, mainly to give use to this large amount of data, and from the analysis of these, obtain potentially useful patterns and implicit information analysis using data mining techniques.</p><p>For this particular project there is a web application called Emol.com. This platform is where we want to use Web Usage Mining on, in order to find browsing patterns on the users who use this system and, through these patterns, to get useful information of the system administrators.</p><p>To create a project of this type is very useful to make future decisions. That's why creating a data repository like data warehouses is very useful. The Data Warehouse will have a very important role since it will keep extracted information from weblogs and in this way generate the characteristic vectors that can be used in a variety of Web Mining algorithms.</p><p>Another very important point is to choose the algorithms that will be used to obtain browsing patterns of the user`s sessions, which may help to make improvements to the customers `browsing.</p><p>The results of the load in the data warehouse will be displayed, also the queries that will be performed on it, along with the obtained results.</p><p>Finally, the results obtained will be verified and validated with the staff responsible for handling the data, in order to confirm that the information provided is really useful</p>
