| |

The suitability of each of the climates present in the zones and the different physical characteristics of the land, often demand the ability to look through dust, smoke, fog, rain, sunlight, etc. as also it is necessary to consider the state in which the land is, the sea, liquid, viscous, humid, etc. That is why you need a sensor or a system that has the ability to perform in each of these scenarios in the best way possible, which can generate images of a good resolution, thus achieving a monitoring that meets the desired expectations. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) on platforms such as satellites, airplanes, drones or rails offers the opportunity to study deformations and changes that happen on Earth through the process of the signal received by the system. The signal process was carried out using algorithms designed for the type of information captured. In particular, this document will analyze in depth the principle of operation and manufacture of the LFM-CW radar. Radar that was developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT in its extracurricular course: Build a small radar system capable of detecting range, Doppler and Imaginary synthetic aperture radar. This system allows to generate images of a target or terrestrial area using the synthetic aperture technique. Looking for this form a solution to the problem posed. The results of the tests carried out were also made known, which were carried out at the Faculty of Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, specifically on the third floor of the School of Electrical Engineering EIE. Obtaining favorable results regarding the generation of terrain images and site monitoring
| |
