In this titration work the objective is the modeling, simulation and analysis of the inverter SD 700 Driving a 30 HP induction motor with rotor squirrel cage. This will cause the braking of the motor by the frequency inverter, sending the energy produced from the motor to the grid for this is implemented regenerative braking that will allow a safe braking. We study the different components that are part of the frequency inverter SD 700, In addition to its operating stages and the limitations it has to regenerate the network. The study of the induction motor becomes necessary since it is one of the fundamental pieces for the regeneration of energy to occur, that is why his circuit and equations are studied in detail. To know how the frequency inverter drives the induction motor at different speeds, the study of scalar control or also called frequency voltage, Which by means of the variation of the frequency and the applied voltage produces the changes in the speed of the machine. In order to regenerate the braking energy to the grid, the active front rectifier is studied, which uses vector control, which is why mathematical operations will also be performed to better understand the operation of this control. In addition, laboratory tests applied to the induction motor are carried out at different frequencies in order to obtain accurate data and bring them to the simulation. The tests that are performed will be in operation as an engine and as a generator in which the braking will occur. Having already performed the tests in the laboratory, it is necessary to simulate, for this is used the program Matlab which brings as a complement to Simulink, this is a program that has a graphical environment and in which are libraries of blocks that will be very useful at the time of the simulation
