Abstract:
The phenomenon of nucleation in a single magnetic cylinder of nanometer size is considered; in particular we investigate the influence of the surface anisotropy energy. We find analytical solutions with soliton characteristics. As a function of the surface anisotropy strength, the magnetic energy exhibits a transition. © 2007 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
