<p>El objetivo de este trabajo es describir la traducción de los elementos culturales y eróticos presentes en tres capítulos de la traducción al español ibérico de la novela El límite del placer desde la perspectiva de la cultura meta. El propósito de esta descripción es comprobar si es que existen o no desaciertos en la adaptación de dichos elementos para la cultura meta chilena. Para realizar la descripción y análisis se clasificaron los elementos culturales y eróticos presentes en tres capítulos de la novela El límite del placer en una tabla de creación propia y aquellos casos más representativos se presentaron en un cuestionario para medir la aceptación de la audiencia promedio chilena. El análisis de la tabla mostró que los elementos de categoría “coloquial” son los más propensos a presentar variaciones y discrepancias culturales, al contrario de los elementos de categoría “formal”. Los resultados de la encuesta dieron cuenta que la audiencia promedio chilena, en su mayoría, acepta de buena manera los elementos traducidos al español ibérico, incluso más que traducidos al español chileno</p>
<p>The aim of this study is to describe the translation of the cultural and erotic elements present in three chapters of the Iberian Spanish translation of the novel Pleasure`s Edge from the Chilean target culture perspective. The purpose of this description is to determine whether or not there are inaccuracies in the adaptation of these elements for the Chilean target culture. To carry out the description and analysis, the cultural and erotic elements selected from the three chapters were classified in a table of created only for this purpose, and the most representative cases were presented in a questionnaire to measure the acceptance of the average Chilean audience. The analysis of the table showed that the elements of the "colloquial" category are the most likely to present cultural variations and discrepancies, as opposed to the elements of the "formal" category. The results of the survey showed that the average Chilean audience, for the most part, accepts in a good way the elements translated into Iberian Spanish, even more than the ones translated into Chilean Spanish</p>
